Work is well under way on Tin Shed Distilling Co.’s new distillery in Nairne, set to open November 1.

Operating from Wednesday to Sunday, the venue will bring a unique offering to the area.

The state-of-the-art facility will feature the brand’s first-ever ‘Distillery Door’, offering tastings, a barrel room, live music and a smokehouse BBQ dining experience.

The distillery will produce Tin Shed Distilling Co.’s renowned premium whiskies, vodka, rum and gin – all distilled and aged onsite.

Front-of-house operations will be led by industry veterans, Jaime Fraser (former manager of NOLA) and Roman Tazhdynov (previously owner of Bibliotheca and Suzie Wong).

Created by head chef Anthony Albrice, the menu will boast bold, authentic flavours paired with produce sourced from the Adelaide Hills and across South Australia.

One of the few dedicated live music venues in the Adelaide Hills, the distillery will host performances from some of South Australia’s top musicians every Friday through to Sunday.

The opening of the distillery marks the next chapter in Tin Shed Distilling Co.’s ‘journey in spirit’, which began from a humble backyard shed more than 20 years ago established by co-founders Vic Orlow and Ian Schmidt.

Tin Shed Distilling Co. is best known for its multi-award-winning Iniquity Whisky.

“Making the move from our small distillery in Welland to opening our first distillery door is a milestone for us,” said Mr Orlow and Mr Schmidt, both passionate artisanal distillers.

“We’re excited to welcome the public to experience our spirits just 23 minutes from the toll gate.”

Bookings for the new distillery open on October 18 and can be made via the Tin Shed website.
