Food South Australia – the State’s peak food and beverage industry body – has unveiled the finalists in this year’s South Australian Premier’s Food and Beverage Industry Awards.
Presented every year, the awards aim to recognise excellence, leadership and innovation across the South Australian food and beverage industry, presented with funding support from the Government of South Australia through the Department for Trade and Investment and managed by Food South Australia.
Finalists across 14 categories, were announced today by Hon Nick Champion MP, Minister for Trade and Investment, and include some of the state’s most established, and emerging, food and beverage businesses, each judged by an independent panel per category.
The Top 20 South Australian food and beverage brands vying for the coveted Consumer Award category were revealed, after more than 8,200 public votes.
Food South Australia CEO, Marni Cook, said that the calibre of entries in this year’s awards demonstrates just how much the industry is growing and thriving.
“All entries received this year reflect the strong values and community spirit that characterise the South Australian food and beverage industry, and deciding on the finalists was a challenge for the judges, especially given the quality of products and services showcased as part of the process”
The Premier of South Australia, Hon Peter Malinauskas MP, expressed his sentiments, stating, “South Australia’s food and beverage industry has a strong global reputation and is a significant contributor to our State’s economy”
“I’m proud to be associated with this prestigious awards program, which acknowledges this sector’s invaluable contribution – especially after navigating through some particularly challenging years.”
Winners across all categories will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on Friday 10 November 2023 .
