The country’s premier eating and drinking festival, Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel will return to South Australia in 2025 from Friday 2 May to Sunday 11 May.
The 2024 festival showcased the best of the state’s produce, people, and places to visitors and locals alike with more than 150 events held across South Australia.
A record crowd of more than 77,000 people visited the festival hub Town Square in the Adelaide CBD.
Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel tells the story of South Australia’s culinary scene with a curated program of events across 10 days.
“Tasting Australia showcases the state as a world-renowned eating and drinking hotspot. The festival brings together hospitality professionals from around the globe, connecting them with our amazing produce and producers in South Australia,” said Minister Bettison.
“Every year the event continues to shine a light on the fantastic food and drink experiences, both in Adelaide and in our regions, and I look forward to what is in store for the program in 2025.”
The festival’s creative team will be led by Festival Director Karena Armstrong, alongside Food Curator Kane Pollard and Drinks Curators Meira Harel and Banjo Harris Plane.
“We know that South Australia is home to some of the best produce, producers, and hospitality in the country and perhaps the world; as the creative team, it is our vision to share that message far and wide through the festival program,” said Karena Armstrong.
“We hope to inspire visitors, chefs, producers, drinks makers, media and industry leaders to experience the best of our state and hero South Australia within their networks.”
Established in 1997, Tasting Australia is one of the country’s longest running eating and drinking festivals.
